JB Switchgear Solutions (Pty) Limited recently designed, manufactured, and supplied a 800A auto/manual change-over switch incorporated into a IP54 motor control centre with 132kW soft starters to run 400V pumps.

JB Switchgear supplied their EAGLE series panel which contains the sensitive monitoring equipment, change-over switch and soft starters.

As per standard practise, the panel will change from the normal Eskom supply to the standby generator in the case of a power failure.

The special design of this panel featured cable boxes attached to the ends of the busbar chambers for easier termination.
