This format uses a double chassis plate design, where the rear chassis plate is used to mount the MCCB or CFS protective device, which is door-interlocked. On the front chassis, all the other equipment such as contactor, overload, relays, fuses, CT’s etc is mounted, since these devices are the ones statistically proven to require attention during the plant life span. The front chassis plate can be demounted by switching off the door interlocked MCCB or CFS, then disconnecting the power wiring from the load side before unscrewing the chassis plate mounting nuts, and extracting the chassis plate from the panel. Control wiring is terminated onto Weidmuller or Phoenix plugs to facilitate demounting of the chassis plate without the need to disconnect any control wiring.
