We are currently looking for a UPS Technician at our offices in Brakpan.

1. REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 /Matric
• 3 years’ relevant experience in UPS / Inverter / Battery Installation
• Driver’s license
• Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering (advantageous)
• Trade test (advantageous)
• Wireman’s License (advantageous).                                

2. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• Collaborate with the project team to ensure efficient and accurate installation of UPS systems.
• Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement of equipment, considering factors such as shading, ventilation, and structural integrity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to UPS systems, during assembly, installation and after completion.
• Use the company’s Project Management Software to maintain accurate records of all installations, including equipment specifications, costs, and other relevant documentation.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and the team.
• Perform electrical wiring if necessary, ensuring compliance with local electrical codes.
• Assemble and program UPS and inverters.
•  Service UPS and investors as per required guidelines.
• Able to do site visits to understand the requirements and design accordingly.
• Has worked with different types of batteries.
